Howdy! Welcome to my little piece of the Internet. My name is Laura, and I'm addicted to crocheting. And yarn, and pretty hooks and stitch markers. I have a pattern collection so large that I will need three lifetimes to make everything, and enough yarn to keep several people busy for years. I've been crocheting off and on since I was 20, but more seriously after my first son was born. I now live with my wonderful husband and two sons in Western Montana, out where the wheat grows golden and the wind whips you around. I'm a stay-at-home-mom and homeschool my boys. My husband is an evangelist with the church of Christ, and wears several other "hats" to keep us going. I sell my wares at the local Farmer's Market in Three Forks, Montana in the summers, and also love testing new patterns for other designers. I'm still new at writing up my own patterns, so please be patient and kind with me as I figure this whole thing out! <3

Welcome to my new blog!    For those who don't already know me (which is probably very few of you, but nonetheless), my name is Laura and I've been blogging over at  the OCD mama  for the last two years. I've recently focused my efforts on crocheting and have operated an Etsy shop selling finished items. FREE PATTERN: Yoda Baby Hat

EDITED PATTERN ON 7/13/2018: It was brought to my attention that there were errors in the stitch counts for some of the rounds on the ears. It has been fixed. I'm so sorry for any confusion! This is just a hobby for me, so I'm still learning. :-) ----------------------------------------- A friend recently asked me to make a Yoda hat for her baby boy, and my search for the perfect free pattern came up short. I wanted one with double-thickness ears so that they would hold their shape well, and just a basic double-crochet hat to keep things simple. So, here is what I came up with. I'm only including the 6-12 month size, but may add other sizes in the future.  Size: 6-12 months (8" across, stretches to fit 16-18" head circumference) **You can also use any basic crochet hat pattern if you have a favorite, and then just use the instructions for the ears below.
